At first I loved bringing the car, I learned from every turn and my experience built up. But soon enough I got bored with it, specially with the crazy traffic that we have here in Manila. So I would just bring the car at specific dates, and of course during weekends with my family. Since we have been going to our relatives, and mind you, they are around 3 driving hours away, I can’t help but to not look forward to it. I’m not ungrateful though, the thought of commuting to our relatives and how hard that would be makes me thankful. Still, I wish our weekend would be more than just visiting our relatives, maybe we could go to the theme parks at Orlando! I’ve read about Orlando vacation packages that I’m sure my family and I will love. As for me, I’ll probably be driving for a few more years, until my son gets to be 18. Since he loves cars so much, he will be a suitable and willing replacement driver.

Everybody looks forward to having their restdays, and me included. But lately, we have been going to different relatives every weekend – and that leaves me to do the driving duties. So what’s the big deal – yes – I am not too fond of driving, I’d rather get a cab or ride a jeep and just relax and listen to music on my headset. When we were about to get a car, I was really hesitant. I only agreed because my wife said that she will be driving, but seeing how my wife was so nervous, I knew I had no choice but to step up. So cutting the long story short, I practiced around the village, was prodded to drive long distances and finally got my licence. Now I am the unwilling official driver. To be continued…
