Typhoon Mirinae | Bagyong Santi | Typhoon Santi Update

I’m really scared now. It looks like Bagyong Santi (Mirinae) is really going to hit us directly in NCR and Rizal. See for yourself.

like Bagyong Santi is going to hit us directly here in Rizal.

Until now, there are still no signs of the incoming storm except for the clouds above. There’s no rain, no wind. Maybe this is what they call the calm before the storm. Here is what PAGASA has to say,

At 4:00 am today, the center of Typhoon “SANTI” (MIRINAE) {0921} was located based on satellite and surface data at 580 kms East Northeast of Infanta, Quezon (15.6°N, 127.2°E) with maximum sustained winds of 150 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 185 kph. It is moving West Southwest at 22 kph.

After the two previous storms that caused massive flooding, they say that this storm would likely to cause flooding too because the ground is still saturated with water and the dams are brimming full of water.

Here is the list of storm signals in the Philippines:

Signal No.3

(100-185 kph winds)  Polillo Islands

Signal No. 2

(60-100 kph winds)  Aurora
Quirino
Nueva Ecija

So if you are from Metro Manila, please be safe and prepared. They are even comparing Bagyong Santi with Milenyo. I just wish it goes away but I think there’s really no chance in that.
