Forbes has released it’s new lineup of the richest men. This time around Mexico’s Carlos Slim outranked Warren Buffett and Bill Gates for the number one spot on Forbes magazine’s annual list of billionaires. This is the first time someone from outside the U.S. lead the rankings in 16 years.
Slim at age 70 has a net worth of $53.5 billion dollars, a big jump from $18.5 billion dollars. He is famous for building a telecommunications empire after buying Mexico’s state-run phone monopoly two decades ago. Second place goes to good old Bill Gates, aged 54, chairman of Microsoft Corp. His net worth increased $13 billion to $53 billion. Buffett, now at 79 years old, chairman of Berkshire Hathaway Inc., ranked third with his $47 billion net worth, with a rise of $10 billion.
With all that money, these guys can probably pick the best cars, or invest in property. They can also check out extenze male enhancement to further develop their relationships. They can simply do what they want – to live the good life – and there is nothing wrong with that. However, I just hope though that they also think about charity, think about the people on the bottom part of the list – imagine how many people can be reached and helped with just a small percentage of what these guys have.
I am not a fan of Pilipinas Got Talent. I honestly think they hurt more than they help, and the show has more awkward and unpleasant moments than good. But there are really some performance that is worth mentioning. Like the one below:
Looks like there is no stopping Z from being like his dad and mom. Since both my wife and I grew up as honor students – we were hoping our son would be a sporty active kid, nevermind his grades or so we said. But of course our hopes were unfounded, and our son without much tutoring and coaxing was able to make it good in school. In fact he is one of the few chosen to take the exams earlier than the rest of his classmates. Based on my experience it is a sign of being part of the honor students. Oh well Z is growing fast.
Car maintenance and it’s hassles are slowly becoming a part of my life. This is the bitter side of having a car, it’s nice to know that you have a car, but it’s so much of a hassle when something goes wrong. An entire day will be wasted. One recent problem that I encountered has something to do with the Clutch. It simply is not working, when I stepped on it, it’s like there’s no tension or nothing there at all. I didn’t know what to do when we stalled cause I can’t shift to any gear. Thankfully we called my FIL and he quickly went to check on the car and found the problem. The clutch fluid was leaking due to a broken primary clutch. What happened next was what amazed me, somehow my Father-in-Law was able to take the car and drive it WITHOUT using clutch from Ortigas to his shop in Las Pinas where he had it repaired. And yes he was able to shift gears without using clutch, I didn’t exactly get how, but he did mention that there is a timing when you rev your engine where you can shift without using clutch. Amazing what you can do when you understand the inner workings of a car. To make the long story short, our church day was messed up by the car problem, but I am thankful that the car was easily fixed. They replaced both the primary and secondary clutch and that fixed the problem. I hope I don’t get any other problems for a long time
We bought our son his favorite car – or at least close to it. It’s an Audi Ride on Car. This particular car does not have the features of the other cars available in it’s price range. It does not have lights and does not have opening hoods and trunks. But it does make up with sheer looks and body quality. Although I would have picked something else – we picked this one simply because my son really loves Audi R8s… and this one looks closest to it so.. there. 4 out of 5.
This is another one of those cartoony 3D graphics with stories that kids won’t find interesting. Basically you have a human astronaut arriving at an alien planet. The story then revolves around how they can help the human get back, and yes that is all there is to it. After watching this and Cloudy… I was saying to myself gone are the days of quality children entertainment. Bring back Aladdin! <Cough> Ok, so the story was pretty straightforward as usual, and the jokes and action scenes are not so special either. If you are a fan of 3d and Aliens – there could be something fun here for you and maybe I need to watch it again to better appreciate it but judging from my first view - I don’t recommend this one. 2 out of 5.
There are some songs that doesn’t quite cut it when you listen to them in your CD players. These are songs that you tend to skip, definitely not a favorite track. Such is the fate of this particular song – Coyotes. That is until I saw this Live version in Youtube. What else can I say – my jaw dropped. Now this is a favorite and probably yours too after watching the vid I embedded…
Last weekend, I went out to meet a friend. When I got to the location, I got got off the car and locked the door with the keys inside. And that is probably one of the worst – absolutely stupid and uncomfortable situation that I’ve ever been… At first I was in denial thinking that I have the key – but I looked and when I saw it inside – it’s like a giant ACME anchor fell on my head. :/ Too make this long story short, I took a cab, went home to get my spare key and went back to the location. Because of that I was late for an hour! With no one to blame but myself, I had no choice but to swallow the bitter pill and charge it to experience. This time around I always carry a spare key in my pocket…
My wife and I watched this movie with our son – and it was intended for him. But he ended up being bored with it after a few minutes. The twist is – it was me and my wife that got hooked. Looks like the humor and story of this movie is a little too complicated for our 5 year old kid and there are too much dialogue and less action / comedy. Without having to give spoilers – I’d say the story is pretty straight forward. A genius invents something good – which turned out bad and ofcourse he tries to fix it. I would not recommend this for kids – but for parents, it could be worth your time. 3 Out of 5.
Recently I’ve been hooked to an MMO (Massively Multiplayer Online) game called Grand Fantasia. I saw a screenshot of the game from a friend and it reminded me of my World of Warcraft days. So having been bored that day I went and searched for the game, checked out some videos and more screencaps – and that convinced me to try it. This was how I was able to set it up.
First I searched for Grand Fantasia Download and I got this link. Then I just followed the prompts there to download and it downloaded the installer which is around 600+MB. While downloading I registered a user account here. After downloading I installed the game. I thought I can play it immediately but my excitement was cut short when it had to download a bunch of updates for the game before I can start. After the updates I was finally able to enter the log-in screen and there began my adventures in the world of Grand Fantasia… (To be continued)
I used to have a W810i and I never had a single complaint about that phone. I updated the firmware and drivers for the cam and audio and it was working awesome up to the time that I gave it up for a new Sony Ericsson W595. In my opinion, having tried both Nokia and Sony phones – Sony owns them all, in terms of workmanship, battery life, toughness and overall quality. That changed though when I decided to get the W595, I wanted to get another Walkman brand phone so I opted for this sleek looking phone. Unfortunately upon checking my new phone – I was less than enthusiastic about it’s features though (or mostly lack of). I can take the fact that it didn’t have the flashlight that I’ve always loved about my old W810i, but what I can’t understand was why they put a 3.2MP Camera that has no focus and no flash… what is wrong with the guys at Sony! As for the music – the sound is at least good but not any better than my beloved W810i. The only good thing about the phone is it’s sleek design and sound. Oh well this review just made me feel depressed about my phone. I will just swap this for something better in the near future.

We all know Sleeping Beauty but what we don’t know is that a Real Life Sleeping Beauty, also called Klein Levin Syndrome, by the name of Louisa Ball. It doesn’t mean they’re sleeping all the time but they can be groggy and cranky while awake. They can also sleep for days or weeks even.
