I’ve been renting a garage just a few yards from our house just because our present home doesn’t have a garage yet. I am sharing it with a few other car owners in our area. Aside from one small case of theft, so far we are satisfied because recently there was no more of such incident occurring.
My shift starts at 3am so I go to the garage at about 30 minutes before that time. One of complaints is that I still have to open and close the tall steel gate after me. I know this gate is a security measure but I would have preferred if they installed one of those garage door openers that can make everyone’s life easier.
Recently, the caretaker of the garage approached me. He said I forgot to close the gate on one occasion. He also said that for the security of our cars we have to close it after us at all times. I admit it was an error on my part and that I forgot to close it in one of my rushes to work. I asked for the possibility of installing a garage door opener instead and I’m hoping he will make the changes in the following weeks.
