We all know Sleeping Beauty but what we don’t know is that a Real Life Sleeping Beauty, also called Klein Levin Syndrome, by the name of Louisa Ball. Louisa is just like any fifteen-year-old girl active and has a passion for dance but at the “Today Show” it was revealed that she suffered from a rare sleep disorder called Kevin Levin Syndrome.
Kevin Levin Syndrom is caused people afflicted with this to experience severe bouts of sleepiness that can hinder normal body function. It doesn’t mean they’re sleeping all the time but they can be groggy and cranky while awake. They can also sleep for days or weeks even.
Louise Ball feels like any normal teenager most of the time until she feels her sleepiness taking over. According to her mother during this period she has to force feed her daughter just to keep her staying alive. More studies on the Sleeping Beauty Syndrome needs to be done and at the moment there are only 1,000 documented cases of people around the world affected with this syndrome.
