My wife and I watched this movie with our son – and it was intended for him. But he ended up being bored with it after a few minutes. The twist is – it was me and my wife that got hooked. Looks like the humor and story of this movie is a little too complicated for our 5 year old kid and there are too much dialogue and less action / comedy. Without having to give spoilers – I’d say the story is pretty straight forward. A genius invents something good – which turned out bad and ofcourse he tries to fix it. I would not recommend this for kids – but for parents, it could be worth your time. 3 Out of 5.
So sorry your son didn’t like it. I went with my 2 teens and my partner. We all loved the movie. I guess I give points to the writers for making something that keeps the adult’s attention, but maybe they went a bit too far with this one. I was curious to know if it would hold a child’s attention. I remember the Toy Story movies and how they captivated my kids and how some of the jokes were over their heads for the parents.
