So now it’s official. It was finally announced on Monday’s episode what everybody else was expecting – the Jon & Kate + 8 Divorce.
Jon said, “Kate and I have decided to separate. It’s just not good for our kids to be arguing in front of our kids.”
Meanwhile, Kate said, “I’m not very fond of the idea, personally but I know it’s necessary because my goal is peace for the kids.”
The following message was then flashed on the TV screen: “On Monday June 22, 2009, legal proceedings were initiated in Pennsylvania to dissolve the 10-year marriage of Jon and Kate Gosselin.”
According to Jon he was too passive in the relationship and just practically let Kate take the driver’s seat and do anything she wants. He has finally stood up on his feet and was “proud of himself.”
Kate insisted that she has no ill feelings towards Jon but that their goals are different now. She added she has suffered for a long time trying to keep a happy face when all along she was “crying on the inside.”
The sad thing is that they still can’t admit to themselves that the reality show might be part of why they are separating. They love all the perks that come with it so much so that they’re still pushing in with the show despite this recent “tragedy” to their family. Yes, I call it tragedy despite the fact that many marriages end up in divorce it’s still very tragic that there are children caught in the middle with no say on anything. Their eight kids kids lost a lot today and it’s all because their parents won’t put their children their first priority.
The Jon & Kate 8 Divorce might just be another statistic to them but for their 8 children it might be the end of their world.
